Interesting. It is vital to emphasise similarities between faiths in order to facilitate peaceful living, tolerance and understanding. However, we Christians believe that no-one comes to God except through his son Jesus Christ – no-one comes to to the father but through him. A fundamental belief is that Jesus is the one and only son of God and therefore the beliefs of Christianity and Islam are incompatible. Muslims do not come to the father through Jesus therefore they are not saved. Whilst teaching similarities it is vital not to lose this fundamental difference and therefore imply that all religions lead to the same end.
Song of Songs reads: His mouth is sweetness itself; he is altogether lovely. This is my lover, this is my friend, O daughters of Jerusalem. There is no mention of Muhammed (pbuh). Muslims respond with the arguement that Christians have corrupted the bible therefore a debate on this matter is utterly futile.

An interesting film none the less. Thanks

Katie i agree that it is vital for all religions to imply all religions similarities & lead to the same end.

But you say a debate on this matter of the bible is futile? Its opposite because youve misunderstood what corruption means.

Corrupt – Made inferior by Errors or ALTERATIONS, as a text.

    Peace be on you Katie

You believe God has a Son and that is Jesus and you also believe that Jesus was crucified and tortured cruelly.Strange because why will God let his son be tortured by some normal human beings??

Now, We believe God has no Son. Jesus was a Messenger of God and we believe Jesus was not crucified, he has been raised up to the heaven and he will be brought back to earth when the False Messiah (The Dajjal) (Antichrist) shows up. Jesus will fight the Antichrist and then after bringing peace and justice to this world he will die like a normal human being.

The idea of the death of Jesus on the cross, being able to sacrifice himself for the sin of man, came at a time when there were other religions like Greek mythology* where man is born with sin, and to reassure people that their religion is false or that any sins they carried with their previous religion was cleansed.

I believe that this could have been added to the Bible, or omitted from the Qur’an. Sorry for simplifying without explanation.
To me however it is better to believe more in our divine God, Allah, than to dispute who is right or wrong, as it creates division.

*more specifically with Orpheus, where man was created by Zeus who punished the titans when they devoured the Greek god Dionysus.
